Sarah-Allen will design, draw, and create these special products in consultation with you to assure that they will be high-quality works of art that reflect your likeness and lifestyle. The orders are printed on Crane paper and the originals are stored by Sarah-Allen so that you can re-order from your personal collection. Ordering custom products is easy. Just print the Order Form and fax it to Sarah-Allen at (214) 855-9379. Sarah-Allen will then contact you by phone to discuss the project scope and details and consult with you about unique design elements and accessories that will make your stationery, card, invitation, or announcement special. You’ll submit a picture of the subject, usually by email, to form the basis of the custom work and, if you like, you’ll be able to look at the proofs before the final order is run.
This is an artistic, hand-illustrated process. Each order will be given complete attention to detail, as Sarah-Allen considers each order to be important and unique! Accordingly, custom projects are subject to Sarah-Allen’s time availability and will generally require 6-8 weeks for completion. Rush orders may be accommodated, but will be charged accordingly.
The cost of the project will depend on the requirements of the client--the number of figures represented, the requested, additional design elements, accessories, landscape, etc. A standard project--one stylized likeness on a Crane paper note pad with a personalized accessory object, for instance, costs around $300. More detailed invitations or Christmas cards could cost $500.
But what a value! Instead of a typical note pad with a monogram, you’ll have fine stationery that represents you or your family (or your dog, cat, or horse!) and reflects your personality and lifestyle. Instead of the same Christmas card picture (“Didn’t the Smiths use this same picture last year?”), you’ll have a card that is unique, fun, and modern (“Wow, why didn’t we do a card like that one?”).
So, get your favorite picture of yourself, one of your friends, family members, or pets, and think of your, or their, signature style, favorite outfit, accessory, or hobby. Then send in the Order Form to get the process started. You’ll love it, and it WILL be adorable!
